An independently wealthy magician, historian, and gunsmith, Gunner Carny has been heralded as the second coming of “Spotty” Rank Masterson. Some disapprove of the comparison, stating that Masterson never found the Glasstower relics and thereby could never have completed his Trianthropedia. Others just think Gunner is far better looking.
A MODEL WITH HEART
Gunner never really considered making money with his face until he realized that his appearance was photographed more often than any of his works of wonder. His passion for philanthropy led him to accept BARON’s offer for more generous employment as a Gentleman of Leisure. It was under BARON’s tutelage that Gunner learned how to invoke “man-glam” and “shoot the stud” like the other professionals at Dragon’s Den.
FAMILY TRADITION
When he’s not modeling, Gunner carries on the family tradition. “They’re called ‘organic firearms.’ At least, that’s what the Carny family calls them, and we’re the only ones that make them. So… they’re organic firearms.”
Gunner crafts ballistic weapons from bamboo, gourds, and even dried corn cobs. His environmentally friendly firearms are favored by assassins around the world. “Yeah, it’s a rough clientele but they’re all fans of my work on the Big Seven. So there’s a certain level of respect there.”
GUILTY PLEASURE
“Feuding. It’s another Carny family tradition. We’ve had a six generation clan war with Saint (Bronson)’s kin. That’s how I met Saint. He’s the only man I’ve ever missed with a Cob .45, so I had to shake his hand. Turns out he’s a pretty great guy. He’s my best friend and greatest enemy. We hate to love each other. But we do it anyway.”
PROFESSIONAL GOALS
“I’d love to do a film adaptation of I Am Known As Chitter.” The critically acclaimed novel Gunner wrote in 1981 at the early age of 12 about a Nebraska man who was raised by prairie dogs until he outgrew the den and was banished into civilization. “The entire story would be a monologue and we’d probably have to break it up into a miniseries format but I think it would play wonderfully on screen."
